This weekend we will be collecting pet items to help Hospice Savannah patients and their pets stay together during the patient’s entire time under hospice care. Right now, the area of greatest need is canned dog and cat food (any brand) and pet treats.
For 10 years, Congregations in Service has encouraged members of Savannah’s faith groups to set aside differences and work together to improve our community. The next service weekend marks the organization’s 10th anniversary, and will be held Nov. 1st and 2nd. All are invited to participate.
This weekend, Savannah’s faith community will work side-by-side on local service projects as part of “Congregations in Service.” This interfaith group hosts community service weekends twice each year, bringing together members of local synagogues, churches and mosques to put faith into action.
