We at Congregations in Service mourn the passing of one of our most active and faithful participants, planners, and volunteers, Norman Hirsch.
Hirsch was a member of Congregation Mickve Israel and a member of the planning committee of Congregations in Service. He was involved in countless community projects within his congregation and the larger community, and started the BackPack Buddies program.
A memorial service will be held at Mickve Israel Monday, October 9th at 4 p.m. Visitation will be held immediately after the service in the Mordecai Sheftall Memorial Hall.
Norman Hirsch will be greatly missed by this organization, and will be fondly remembered by the many, many lives he touched in Savannah and beyond. Peace be with his family and friends.
